These filtration systems are designed for the purpose of handling a large number of daily samples. Chose between two types of manifolds. Traditional 3- or 6-port types or round rotateable with 6 or 12 places.. Two types of pumps; Rocker 400, which is a traditional pump that creates vacuum in a container where the waste is also collected. The container/bottle has a built-in water trap. The bottle needs to be emptied through the drain tube now and then. Alligator 200 is a diaphragm pump, which filters waste directly to a zink or a drain. No bottle to empty. This solution is also space-saving compared to the Rocker 400. Systems with plastic filter holders are useful for particle analysis e.g. suspended solids and for microbiology. In this case, the filter holders have to be autoclaved prior to use. For microbiological analysis, the systems with stainless steel funnels are especially useful since these can be flame sterilized between each sample.
