The OXIPRES™ subjects the whole sample, without prior preparation, to a high oxidative-stress environment (high temperature and oxygen over-pressure) in order to evaluate, in a short period of time, the resistance to oxidation. The oxygen uptake of the reactive components present in food-feed samples is monitored by the OXIPRES™ to evaluate the oxidative stability under accelerated oxidation conditions. Experiments indicate that results from the vessel method can be correlated to organoleptic tests. Up to 9 OXIPRES™ instruments can be handled by the Paralog software which means that up to 18 pressure vessels can be run simultaneously. With multiple instruments you will also be able to run samples at individual temperatures. The OXIPRES™ also has an optional volatile-trap function for further GC-MS analysis.
1 Rack for reaction 6 reaction vessels 4 Reaction vessels 2 O-rings 1 Cleaning kit for pressure vessel 1 Lifter for lid 1 Carbon filter 1 Adaptor for carbon filter
For a complete set-up we recommend:
Paralog software and USB-converter
Filling station - for easier filling and flushing of the pressure vessels. The filling station has a safety valve, and is available with 2 or 6 filling tubes
Holding rack for easier tightening of the pressure vessels
Calibration kit, for calibration of pressure and temperature
