Residual liquid from pump tubes or samplers can be reliably collected with the drain safety stand. The safety stand is resistant to diluted bases and acids. The collecting container can be filled with a neutralisation medium which dilutes and neutralises residual liquid. The stand pipe is mounted on the wall with sturdy pipe clamps. The pipe clamps can simply be opened to remove the safety stand. The container for collecting liquid can be unscrewed, making it convenient to replace or empty.
